free read Emily Brontë 106 1883 biography of Emily Jane Brontë 30 July 1818 19 December 1848 a British novelist and poet now best rememb. Written just 35 years after Emily s death this biography was absolutely fascinating It focused on Emily writer of Wuthering Heights but it encompassed the story of the entire Bronte family The family members lived uiet tragic dramatic lives and the sisters based much of their fiction on real events in people in their lives What a tragedy to discover that Jane Eyre s horrible Lowood School was based on an actual school that she and her sisters attended I loved distinguishing the three sisters as individuals rather than lumping them together as the Bronte sisters Next up Elizabeth Gaskell s author of Cranford biography of Charlotte Bronte

free read Emily Brontë 106 Ered for her only novel Wuthering Heights a classic of English literature Emily was the second eldest of the t. This book was an excellent overview of the Brontes and much shorter than Elizabeth Gaskell s The Life of Charlotte Bronte It ends of course with Emily s death and goes into much greater detail of Branwell s life and death than Gaskell s book There is a nice overview of Wuthering Heights towards the end which is interesting even for people who have read it multiple times Overall I feel that I understand Emily Bronte better after having read this book but of course she will always remain much of a mystery than not I plan to add this as a free download at Girlebookscom in the near future
