Tuckets Travels is a book I have read before I decided to read it again because I enjoyed it so much the first time that I read it It is a very good book that gives an amazing view of what life looked like in the West just before westward expansion It shows how two different people a man and a young boy are able to come together and help each other Gary Paulsen did a really good job of showing detail on the characters and the land I feel like I could see every scene that he had described I really enjoy Paulsen as an author and I plan on reading the rest of this series I especially like this book because it is like a roller coaster of emotion for young Francis Tucket It was pure torture for him when he was captured by the Native Americans but he was then saved by Jason Grimes who I envision as the star standard for any mountain man who ever lived Anyone interested in Westward expansion should give this book a look
